Supplementary Task I

In the months that I have been a peer tutor, I had the most positive relationships with my host teacher. Ms. Ritter presents the fact that I am dependable in class without her. All substitutes comment such as “I heard you are a fantastic peer tutor for this class.” Her feedback encourages me to aid the students as a confident peer tutor.

I had Ms. Ritter for my first ESL program couple years ago. We now have a different relationship due to my peer tutoring course. She is concerned about the students’ position since anything can be too personal or sensitive issue in ELD class. Consequently, I have a better understanding of different perspectives. We always discuss what would be the best for the students and how we can improve situation for their future in Canada. She is insightful at managing various ethics; it is the best virtue for an ESL/ELD teacher. I am learning to be more liberal as a leader, and I thank her for having me in the class.
