Supplementary Task I; Michelle Yan

Hey guys! Within the time that I have been apart of Ms. Carrier's grade 9 dance class, I have developed many different relationships with the students and host teacher. I feel that all the relationships that I have developed within the classroom are all positive. Having postive relationships within an environment has truly helped me grow as a peer-tutor. They have given me more confidence, self-esteem and the room to grow as a team leader. I'm glad that the students aren't afraid to approach me with their questions, comments and requests because they know that I'll always have an answer, or I'll definitely go out of my way to fullfil their requests. As a group of individuals, we're usually in a very uplifting and energetic environment. Without the positive relationships between each individual, it wouldn't be the same. We are able to have open discussions about pretty much anything and everything! I think it's great that everyone feels comfortable with each other in the classroom, otherwise we'd be a scattered bunch! I have honestly grown to love the grade 9 students as one big student body, they're an amazing group of girls and they're amazingly sweet!!! :) They have requested for me to come back next year as their peer-tutor, yet I don't think I'll have the opportunity again.

As for my host teacher, Ms. Carrier, she's an amazing role model. She has taught me a lot about dance, as well as being a teacher. It get's pretty hectic as a dance teacher, running around organizing shows, costumes, dancers and choreographing! She's definitely the one to look up to. She's helped me through a lot of the tough times and I adore her for that. She has a very positive influence on me, which makes me want to go beyond her expectations for me! Overall, our relationship goes very far, I could probably call her my friend, rather than my teacher. :)
