Step 2: Primary Task

Hey i'm Nelly,

i have been peer tutoring Ms.Chamber's grade 10 applied history class for a while now, and i really enjoy it. Everytime i go to that class i learn something new, eventhough i might know it already; whether its historical or social, its just new to me sometimes.
The most safisfying experience that i had as a peer tutor in that class will be weeks ago when Ms. chambers wasn't there and she left an assignment with the students, so i had to explain it to them. Eventhough there was a teacher, i had to explain to the class what was the assignment about and everything else. I chose this experience as safisfying because i felt like Ms.Chambers trusted me enought to leave such an assignement for me to explain it to the class and help them with it and since then i had this confidence that i can do it.
My class is really funny, everyone bring to the class their unique and different sense of humour. They are all funny in a way in my class, which reduces the stress of having alot of work. Ms. Chambers is like the master of humour and it seems like she is teaching the students a great sense of humour instead of history. It's really hilarious. for instance few weeks ago when the class was learning about the 1920s, and for course there is alot of stuff about that era and the students find it a little bit hard to learn all these things; so Ms. Chambers instead one day when the students came to class, she had them learn the Charleston and dance in class. This activity actually helped some students decrease their stress. so it was really funny to see the whole class dancing and if you are in the hallway passing by the class, you would wonder what class that is.
so iam stilll enjoying the experience of being a peer tutor and also enjoying the company of both Ms. chambers and the students.

Nelly Yoske
